Samsung has introduced a new PC SSD that takes computing and gaming to the next level
Samsung Electronics has announced via its newsroom that it is ready to begin production of a high-performance PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD, named PM9C1a. This new SSD is equipped with a cutting-edge controller that is built using Samsung’s 5-nanometer process technology and the company’s seventh-generation V-NAND technology. The PM9C1a is designed to elevate the computing and gaming performance on PCs and laptops.
According to Samsung, the PM9C1a offers an impressive increase in power efficiency per watt, up to 70% more than its predecessor. This means that the new SSD can perform the same tasks with significantly less power consumption. Additionally, when a notebook PC goes into standby mode, the PM9C1a uses approximately 10% less power, making it more energy efficient.
