RealityScan: the Epic Games app for performing 3D object scans is available on iOS (App Store release)
We told you about it last April: the RealityScan app from Epic Games , which allows you to scan objects in 3D, is available on iOS/iPadOS ( App Store Link – Free – iPhone/iPad). RealityScan is based on technology from Capturing Reality, a startup acquired by Epic Games in 2019. In detail, just follow the instructions and multiply the shots from different angles to really quickly obtain a high-resolution 3D scan of the object, rather very faithful in most cases. The photogrammetry algorithm works wonders here, and we get results that are much better than the first 3D scanning apps that appeared in the App Store.
