On June 6, Apple presented the new version 16 of iOS , as part of the opening presentation of WWDC 2022. We were able to discover the many new features that the update will offer. And as usual, a few moments after the keynote, the Californian firm made the first beta version of the software available to developers. A little over two weeks later, here we are with a second beta version of the OS.Anyone enrolled in the Developer Beta Program can install and test iOS 16 Beta 2 on their iPhone. This is also the case for tvOS 16, iPadOS 16 and watchOS 9, without forgetting macOS Ventura, the new version of the Mac OS.Here’s what the beta test cycle looks like at this point:beta 1: released on June 6, 2022beta 2: released on June 22, 2022

This new beta version refines new features brought by iOS 16, including the customization of the locked screen, Quick Note, Stage Manager, etc. It also brings a new functionality for sorting SMS with 12 categories and the possibility of declaring a message received as spam to its operator (for the United States only at this stage). Note also the addition of a major novelty: when a user under iOS 16 modifies or deletes a message in iMessage, if the recipient is not under iOS 16, he is still notified of the modification.See in the video below the illustrated changes of iOS 16 beta 2:If you don’t have a developer account, you can still try iOS 16. Either wait for the first public beta to be released, or try to find a developer beta tester profile on the web yourself.
