Apple remains the most valuable company in the world, with a valuation of $2.3 trillion, despite the tech downturn in 2022. The company was able to maintain its top spot due to strong revenues and consumer demand for iPhones, which make up about half of its total revenue. Coming in second is Microsoft, which has seen slower earnings this year due to a decrease in demand for personal computers and the impact of a strong U.S. dollar. The only non-U.S. company in the top 10 is Saudi Aramco, a state-run oil giant valued at $1.8 trillion. Of the 100 largest companies, 62 are headquartered in the U.S., 11 are based in China, and 5 are located in France.
